The Givenergy All-in-One battery is an integrated AC coupled battery system, which includes a battery and inverter all in one module. It rivals both the Tesla Powerwall and MyEnergi Libby, with a premium design and construction.

The battery has a substantial 13.5kWh usable capacity and provides a discharge rate of up to 6kW. GivEnergy is a UK based firm with head office, engineering and customer technical support all based here in England. Integrations with Octopus Energy are specifically designed for the UK consumer.
What does discharge rate mean?
A discharge rate of 6kW in practice means that you can have your oven, kettle and dishwasher on all at the same time, and the battery will be able to meet this demand without drawing from the grid.
13.5 kWh is more than enough to power a large family home for 24 hours. If your home or business consumes more electricity that this, the All-in-One can be set up to have up to 6 units running in parallel, offering a total combined storage capacity of 80 kWh.
The GivEnergy All-in-One works with Octopus
As with all GivEnergy batteries, this GivEnergy All-in-One solution works with Octopus Energy. Octopus provide you with an API key (application programming interface) which means that your GivEnergy dashboard integrates seamlessly with Octopus “Kraken” technology.

In the screen shot above, you can see that GivEnergy has live data exchange with Octopus, telling you exactly how much energy you have used at any given time. You’ll notice that this customer is only consuming electricity during the off-peak hours to charge an Electric Car. The rest of the day, the customer is not importing any electricity from the grid.
Intelligent Octopus Flux

This is Octopus Energy’s smartest tariff yet. This is the Virtual Power Plant in action. And it is becoming a reality much sooner than even we might have hoped. With this tariff, customers can get paid to buy and sell electricity to the grid.
This tariff is a “no-brainer” for anyone with Solar & (GivEnergy) Storage. Whether it makes financial sense for customers with an Electric Car, we’ll have to wait and see, and crunch some numbers.
GivEnergy – flexible modular design
The GivEnergy All-in-One is IP65 rated, meaning that it can be installed outside as well as inside.
The unit can be installed up to 50 meters from the consumer unit and is sleek and stylish in its own right. In this instance our customer opted to have the unit installed in her office. An added benefit is that the heat discharged from the unit keeps the office at a comfortable temperature, negating the need for any additional heating.

The GivEnergy All-in-One battery pay back period
At Brimstone Energy, we understand that no matter how much you may want to reduce your environmental footprint or become energy independent, fundamentally the financials must stack up.
In a house using the full 13.5 kWh in every 20 hour discharge period and using an EV tariff to charge the battery during a 4 hr off-peak period, we estimate a pay back period of less than 5 years based on 2023 electricity prices.
If you add solar into the scenario above, we estimate a payback period of 4-5 years.
GivEnergy GivBack scheme

The GivEnergy GivBack scheme is a world leading automated way of making money out of your equipment.
During periods of high grid demand, the National Grid will buy electricity from battery owners at premium rates. In the above scenario, the battery owner will earn £4.20 per kWh that is discharged. During the 90 minute period, an All in One owner can discharge up to 9 kWh, giving a potential payment of £37.80.
This scheme is fully automated. After you have opted-in, the system is remotely managed by GivEnergy and its partner Axle Energy.
These payments are the beginnings of the Virtual Power Plant, where energy asset owners act in a distributed and automated way to support the grid during periods of stress.
